 3. Health and safety audits

Every academy receives an annual health and safety audit (usually in June) and a follow up review from a Judicium Health and Safety consultant.  Our commitment to regular external auditing ensures that we continue to provide a safe environment for our staff, students and visitors and helps us to develop and improve our safety culture.   The Academy’s audit is undertaken with Senior Academy Leaders (Heads of Department), Academy Health and Safety coordinators and the Estates Team. An action plan is completed to ensure any issues are resolved and improvements are made.

Schools can be awarded the ‘School Safety Award’ if they successfully complete their audit.

4. Fire risk assessments

Fire risk assessments are undertaken (around September / October) by Judicium Health and Safety consultants as per the Health and Safety audit process outlined above.

5. Support, advice and guidance via their health and safety consultants

We have access to Judicium’s health and safety experts who can support our academy and central teams with any queries or questions.  Please contact your Academy’s health and safety coordinator or the Estates team in the first instance.
